The photocast network is a community of podcasters producing content related to photography. We’ve banded together to form the photocast network for mutual support and to cross promote our shows. This brings increased subscriber numbers and opportunities for group negotiation with possible sponsors.

The Photocast Network has no joining fees or contracts to sign. You retain complete control and ownership of your content

How do I join?

Membership is open to any reasonably established photography related podcast. So if you’ve been going a little while and are planning to keep going then get in touch.

What to expect?

First of all - expect to get some new listeners! A big part of what we’re trying to do here is help promote each other’s shows and build listenership.

Once you’re a member of the Photocast network you will also have access to photocast logos and bumpers. We’ll provide those but of course you’re welcome to contribute your own versions if you wish.

All member podcasts will have a page here on the Photocast Network site as well as access to post blog articles on the Photocast Network homepage. This facility is NOT for announcing your latest show but announcements of landmark events or competitions are acceptable. Anything that isn’t normal run of business should be fine.

What’s expected of me?

As a member of the Photocast Network you are expected to fly the flag for the network by putting something on your website saying you’re a member. We also expect you to tell your listeners that you’re a member by talking about it on the show and playing a bumper during your show. Right at the end is fine or in the middle if you really want to show off your membership!

Oh and you’ll need to fill in your page on the Podcast Network site of course.

What happens if we attract a sponsor?

Let’s cross that bridge when we come to it. Right now we want to build a stronger community of photography podcasters. The question of what we do if a sponsor approaches us will depend very much on the deal the sponsor has in mind. We’ll discuss any network sponsorship deal details on the private forum as and when it happens.
